Case File #1

The "White Lady"

Dover, MA

A homeowner wrote to us in an email:

"We have lived in our house for three years.  A renovated farmhouse, it was built in the 1880s.  For the last nine months, we have had some real strange things going on in our home.  It started with just noises, knocks, and footsteps.  Then items like books and keys were moved.  Then, they would go missing.  Then, at some random times, they will come back.  The stereo was turning itself on.  Not just on, but it would scan through all of the radio stations and always stop at the same one that plays Classical music.  Other times, the TV would turn off when we were out of the room.  A couple of times, it had been unplugged. My husband and I both grew up in Up State New York in the Hudson Valley.  Haunted houses and experiencing strange ghost sightings was common enough that we were used to mild paranormal things happening.  It was fun for a while.

"After a few months of something happening once a week or so, things got bad.  One night, our 9-year-old daughter was woken around 3:30 a.m., screaming that someone was slapping her.  She said the "white lady" was scary.  It happened again a few nights later.  We were suspicious but thought it was probably bad dreams.  When we rushed into her room a third time in the middle of the night a few nights later, and screaming again, our daughter was standing on her bed and pointing to a dark corner of her room.  She said the White Lady was in the wall.

"Ever since that third time our daughter woke up screaming during those terrible nights, my husband, myself, and our two kids have been feeling angry and depressed.  And the house sometimes feels like it is full of cool invisible fog that you can feel touching your skin but cannot see anything.  Other times it is really warm, almost hot.

"We would be more than grateful if you can help us find out what it is and try to do something about it.  We don't know what else to do as this is becoming a big problem in our lives."

The White Lady

Conducted by S2L PARANORMAL:

In all, we spent three nights at the residence over a five-day span.  All three nights we turned off the electric power to the house.  We kept the windows open; it was an usually warm week in April.  We wanted to see if the temperature in the rooms could change dramatically with fresh moving blowing in.

The first night, we took some readings with some instruments, although we already knew what the instruments were going to tell us.  We found several areas where our K-IIs surged to the max and stayed there.  Palpable feelings of bright, spinning energy would enter every room after we spent some time ‘feeling' for a source.  We used clairvoyant thought, energy reading, and a type of channeling we came up with that allows the being's presence to pass through us like running water.  Instead of it getting inside you like a being within a being.

We broke through to a young girl that had died when the house caught fire in 1932.  She had much to say about topics ranging from her intense anger at her parents for being unable to get to the second floor through the flames to save her.  To her boredom with nothing to do but hide in the house.  To her dread of leaving it because she believed she was going to go to Hell since she died in a fire.  And so much more.

We asked her if she would like us to help her to move on to the light.  She said, no, she was not ready yet.  And that she would let us know.  After that, the poltergeist activities stopped and the dizzying energy that she had been spreading all around went much softer.  Sometimes the small act of showing compassion and concern for a spirit is enough to help it find some peace.  We will let you know if she gets a message through to us that she wants to pass to the other side.

Case File #2

The Penitent Monsignor

For the sake of religious propriety, we cannot mention the town in which we conducted these sessions.  Never really sure how the client knew about us since we did not yet have a finished Web Site, one early morning I took a phone call around 4 a.m.  Not much of a solid sleeper anymore, the caller was surprised to hear me so wide-awake.

He told me he had waited until the middle of the night to call because he had been too conflicted to call me during the day.  "I was half hoping you would be sleeping so I could leave you a voicemail," he offered softly.  Turns out, he had been the caretaker for a Catholic Churchthat had been closed four years earlier by the Catholic Cardinal in Boston.

The caller had worked for the church for thirty-seven years.  Now that it was closed, he still reported to the empty rectory every morning at seven.  Even though no one is there.  He wanted it to be ready whenever, if ever, the priests came back.

He told me the rectory had a well-known ghost ... well known by the parishioners but few would talk about it openly ... of a very old Monsignor who had died in his bed in 1953.  There had been reports that near the end of his life, he would walk up to his parishioners and ask them to forgive him.  Sometimes dropping to his knees.  The parishioners were horrified.

Realizing the old priest was losing touch with reality, the Church set a date to retire him.  He died two days before the day they were  moving him to a rest home.  The caretaker said he sees the ghost of the old priest all the time.  "He is not trying to be scary, I don't think, even though he is.  The feelings in the air when he is around are peaceful.  Sometimes I smell the hair cream he used to use.  Not in words, but he somehow told me before he can reaaly die and move on, he needs to be forgiven.  Can you help me?"

Case File #3

Molly Douse and Ama Davis

Sherborn, MA

A three-minute walk from my home, there is a 300-year-old graveyard.  It is very small, maybe seventy-five graves.  Like most New England country towns that always have at least one such forgotten graveyard, it is out-of-the-way, quietly resting in a patch of woods, in plain sight, but never visited.  The gravestones are worn, discolored, chipped.  Some are crumbled.  Many thin, deteriorated slabs of slate with rubbed away names and dates.  Many lean at wild angles or have fallen.  It is deceptively peaceful to most passers-by.  However, anyone with energy sensitivity who walks or drives past ... "Oh my God, can you feel that!"

This is My Graveyard, I like to call it.  Feeling drawn to it since I moved to Sherborn nine years ago, I have felt it reaching out to me, sometimes trying to grab my attention went I went past.  In 2008, on a random night when I was restless and could not find anything to occupy myself, the image and feel of the graveyard seeped into my house.  That is the only way I can explain it.  Like fog filling a mountain valley.

Nearly midnight at the time, I put on some shoes, grabbed a digital voice recorder and my 'Ghost Book,' a huge journal where I keep track of my paranormal experiences, left the dog at home for obvious reasons, and walked out into the night.

Since then, I visit the graveyard a few times a month.  Spirits of three people have invited me to get to know them.  And I have.

The Penitent Monsignor (Continued)

Shadow To Light's Investigation:

We found the old Monsignor's favorite place in the Rectory ... a corner of the first floor parlor where a piano had sat while the old man was alive .  We conducted sessions for three consecutive nights.  Although we could feel him everywhere, for the first night and into the second, all we could do was get reads on him.  Good reads but for whatever reason he would not agree to psychically communicate with us.

Around 2 a.m. on the second night, we felt he was ready, and, man, was he ever.  For the next two hours, he ‘sat' with us and told the story of his life.  Long story short, with my deceased sister holding energetic space that intensified the psychic connection ... he told us ... during World War 2, he was a Chaplin in the Army stationed with a division on the front lines.  On many occasions, he had opportunities to give Last Rights to German soldiers.  He refused on the grounds they were evil and responsible for epic levels of tragedy, death, and suffering.  He did not think God could forgive them so why should he.

He carried that burden to his grave.

Around 12:30 a.m. on that third night, the Monsigner suddely went quiet.  We took a break and went outside to breathe some fresh air.  When we came back in, the parlor felt stunningly peaceful.  We took a moment to reflect.  Then began a to bring him through a holy ceremony.  We read passages from a book of prayers once given to all Catholic priests seventy-five years ago, and blessed the room with frankincense and myrrh oils mixed in holy water.  We burned old-fashioned Catholic Mass incense, and sage.  We told him it was time to release his spirit from the earth plane.  We told him we felt many if not all of those German soldiers under those conditions would understand his reasons, and that most likely many would forgive him.  And, that we certainly forgave him.

We asked if he felt ready to pass over.  Before we ended the question, his energy and he were gone.  And after checking in with the caretaker two since then, he still is.

Molly Douse and Ama Davis (Continued)

My most frequent and friendly connection is with the spirit of the lovely MOLLY DOUSE, 11-years-old when she drowned in a small outlet of the Charles River about 100 yards through the woods behind the graveyard, in 1823.  In practical terms, I cannot say that I have a relationship with her ... after all, she is dead and I am not.  But in a clairvoyant way, I certainly do.  Molly is sweet, smart, sassy, and alternately very sad then very happy.

Speaking as a paranormal psychic, an extremely rare and magnificent gift of which I am immensely grateful ... Molly and I are writing a book.  About her life.  Her thoughts on human life.  Her thoughts on being dead.  What happened to her?  What she would have liked to have become had she lived?  Who would she have married?  Would she have been a housewife, an 'all day nagger' as she calls it?  Or a teacher?  An artist?  What it was like living in her time.  What does she think about ours?  What it is like for her to have me as her best ‘not dead friend' as she calls me.

Molly and I have accumulated about 50-pages of, another of her delightful descriptions, 'thoughts and scribbles.'  Molly has been floating over the 1/4 mile distance between her home and mine for visits for about two years now.  When she arrives, my home becomes full of happy invisible sparks and swirling laughter.  She loves to fly (or whatever she does) right through me.  Makes us both laugh every time.

Molly wants to title the book, Molly Is Not As Dead As You Think.  And so far I am going for "Molly Douse, Ghost Girl.  We will see what we come up with.

I am also involved (energetically speaking) with a new friend, AMA DAVIS.  Ama's gravestone reads:

IN MEMORY OF AMA DAVIS

CONSORT OF Mr. DAVID DAVIS

DAUGHTER OF Mr. JOSEPH DANIELS

WHO DIED MAY 29, 1806

AET 23

The ‘Consort' bit is truly one of the most fascinating descriptions of a relationship between two people in stuffy old 1800s Massachusetts, or even now, that I have ever seen.

Ama and I are not at all as friendly as Molly.  Mostly, I feel her with us when Molly comes to visit.  She os more of a chaperone than a subject.  So far, she just wants to be close to Molly.

As time goes on, I am going to keep a running account of our adventures, Molly and I,  Ama and I.  I will post them in installments here on the Web Site.  I cannot promise you will believe us.  But I can promise  you will be fascinated and entertained.

More Case File reports to come.
